Hey everyone! I don't have a bearded dragon, yet. I am still trying to convince my parents, but I am making an enclosure anyways. Just wondering, could I paint the Outside of the enclosure or will the paint or paint fumes be bad even though it'll be on the outside?? Also any ideas for the door it'll be in the front?? Thanks! Still not done with it. I need to hang hammocks still. Is there anything else I need in it? I have a tube fixture for the UVB and the feed and water dish that I'll put in last.

What are the dimensions of your enclosure? With that shape I'd probably put some glass in a wooden frame and put hinges on the bottom so it opens out and down. You could also try sliding doors but that would only give you access to half of the tank at one time. This walkthrough of a popular model may help give you some ideas on how to finish it off. https://beardies.dreamwidth.org/2145.html
The dimensions of my enclosure that I am building is 32 in wide x 24 in high x 24 in deep. Okay great thanks! Would I be able to paint the outside of the enclosure or would it be bad for the BD??
I'd go with a 22'' T5 UVB light in an enclosure that tall. Set it up right next to the socket for the basking light so they're both over the basking area.
Painting shouldn't be a problem. You may also want to seal it with polyurethane to prevent moisture damage. Just let it dry thoroughly and air out before it's used.
