Hiding more

Hi my bearded dragon is 15 months old. I’m not sure exactly how much he weighs. For the past couple of weeks he seems like he’s hiding more. He is still eating normally, he may be pooping a little less frequently than usual. I have a T5 Arcadia 24 inch UVB that I just changed in September. The ambient temperature of the hot side is 90° the ambient temperature of cool side is 80°. His basking spot ranges from 105 to 90° so he can choose the temperature to bask. What do you think is this normal or should I be concerned. I don’t know if he’s getting ready to roommate or if he’s in a funk or if I should be worried about parasites? He has been asking Sam I’m not sure exactly how much during the day but in the evenings I’ve seen him asking after he eats for a couple of hours. Now that he is a little older I’m not sure if I should change the frequency of his calcium and D3?

I am assuming your taking the probe and placing on the spot where he basks correct? I would get more decor in the tank and place a piece under the UVB - that distance needs to be 12-15 inches directly under it - I see the platform is partially under the UVB but I would get another piece over towards the middle - the tank looks pretty bare -- its possible hes getting ready to brumate - you could move one of the log pieces under the UVB but make sure that distance is correct that I posted - when he poops next pay attention to the white urate it needs to be formed white and moist - the poop dark formed and moist --- please offer him some water either drip on his nose or use a eye dropper -- he looks good in the pic -- they do get more lazy in the winter --

@KarrieRee The two logs in the middle of the tank actually are under the UVB, 14 inches underneath it. But I will get a few more items for the enclosure. Thanks! What about the calcium and D3? As an adult what is the schedule I should have him on?

Since your using the T 5 I would use the D3 one time per week and the other 2 times if your feeding insects 3 times per week the regular -- does he eat salads good? That is where the vitamins come in - if hes good on salads then hes getting the vitamins he needs -- if not dust those insects 2 times per week --
