My bearded dragon has started to go limp but he’s moving his eyes and mouth and can keep his head up but his body won’t move,he’s opening his mouth and sticking his tongue out I haven’t done any out of the ordinary and he had eaten and had water today like normal but I’m worried if it’s something very serious I don’t live near any exotic vets please help me…

Can you post some pics of him and his entire enclosure ? What type of lights do you have , be sure to include those in the picture. How old is he and how long have you had him ?

AS ahbd requested please post a pic of everything she asked for-- surface basking temps and UVB are critical for the dragons health - we need to start there --

The tank is too small -- what size is it? I see no temp gauges in the tank and it looks like your using a bright white basking bulb please look on the bulb it will tell you what brand and bulb it is- please get 2 digital probe thermometers Zoo Med makes them - you need them to get accurate surface basking temps- I would get surface basking temps 95-100 thats where he sits to bask and all the stuff in there I would take out - you need things for him to sit on to bask he needs a hide I am posting a pic of my tank so you can see what kinds of things you need for him -- the best size for him is a 4x2x2 tank or 120 gallon or bigger but the standard for adult dragon is 120 gallon -- I can post links for those tanks but I would look at getting his tank on par -- the UVB and temps are critical -- is the dragon eating? what are you feeding?

He eats the African roaches but I haven’t gotten some lately I’ve been giving him vegetables and dried crickets sometimes I’m really on a budget is there anything I can do now that can help him start moving I’m worried

The basking bulb your using now what is it? Is it a MVB look on the bulb and tell me what it is-- we need to get the surface basking temps on par along w/ UVB -- this is critical to the dragons health - I cant help you until I know what your using now- how big is that tank? Its going to get temps correct in that small tank it looks almost like a 10 gallon tank -- you want to feed a staple insect like live crickets but I recommend dubia roaches - dried out bugs are not really good - what are African roaches? what kind of vegetables? Posting a website for salads ignore the kale info its outdated Nutrition Content
your dragon needs his lighting on par - hes not moving?

Shut the light off and look on the bulb- your dragon is sick --- hes not going to make it if we dont get the lighting and temps up to par--- you need to go to the store and get 2 digital probe thermometers Zoo Med - and a UVB I am going to post links for all this so you can see what I am talking about
Zoo Med ReptiSun T5 10.0 High Output Terrarium Hood
2 of these Zoo Med Reptile Terrarium Digital Thermometer
Fluker's® Basking Bulb
I want you to get 75 watt bulbs - that tank looks really small and its going to take a lower wattage bulb - the dragon needs this NOW -- but those temp gauges are going to tell you what wattage bulb you need

Beautiful little dragon, I'm sorry he's not well. We are here to try to help you. He looks bloated, what size were the insects he was eating and has he eaten the dried crickets ? Those aren't good, especially for a baby.

The tank is much too small, this makes it very hard to get a heat gradient where you have a " hot " basking area around 105 F but on the other end it needs to be the " cool " end, around 76 -80 F. And I know you mean well but the tiny furniture is not right for them and the material they are made of can give off fumes in the heat. Remember, big rocks and sticks are what they need for basking but not toys.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
