Not very good at introductions so I'll try and make it as good as i can My names David, I live in Australia and I turn 14 on the 13th of may and am getting a bearded dragon as a present, I currently have a tank food bowls water bowls climbing rocks etc, just waiting on my lights and have made my deposit on a bearded dragon I picked from a Breeder. I just need to wait for my reptile licence to be mailed to me I've decided to name him Mojo he is a few months old and is a good eater, I sat there watching for about 15minutes and he ate like 60crickets+! the only problem though is I thought it was fishy why he had them on sand and let them hunt the crickets themself leaving them in the cage  he says that none of his have ever swallowed the sand and got inpacted so I hope my little guy will be ok
Hi and welcome to the board Mojo is a great name. Most people on here do not recommend sand due to the possible impaction issues buit it can be ok for older dragons who are good hunters. I personally would never use it - I use textured ceramic tile. You could also use non-adhesive shelf liner or paper towel. If you keep the sand, make sure it is not calcisand - use children's sifted play sand
This is the best bearded dragon site ever I'm sure your gonna love it here. We really like pictures around here so when you get Mojo you'll have to share em with us.
Hello and welcome to the site Congrats on the new dragon, its great that you've got a name picked out for the little guy already, for some of us that's the hardest part about bringing a new pet home. Can't wait to see pics!
