So, last night or early hours this morning my first baby from this clutch pipped. We predicted Christmas Day and it wasn't too far off, being Christmas Night or Boxing Day.
So now begins the brilliant journey, which will last for the next 6 - 8 weeks.
This might end up pic heavy.
So pics 1 - 4 are my first clutch from this pair of dragons. They hatched in May 2013. I sold most of them, had a couple of sad deaths and kept Bruce. He is massive.
The following pics are of the current incubation and the layout in my shed. I have another post which refers to my shed and how it's heated etc.
Viv 1 is all set up and ready to go. I accidentally created two basking spots as the heat lamp heats the furniture up to 105 on the top and the basking temperature under the lamp is 105 - 110.
Specs below on my Vivs.
Night One in the Viv.
Vivarium Specs:
Vivarium size: 23" L, 15" D, 16.5" H
Heat & UV: Day time, Arcadia D3 lamp, 80 Watt. Night time, 17*11 (?) heat mat with a habistat mat stat.
We are at 10 out of 27. sadly 4 babies couldn't make it out of the eggs and two other eggs had previous gone bad and one other has recently gone bad. 10 left, lets hope they all make it.
Anyway, lets have some pics.
Mumma, nice and yellow, never used to be this way, we thought she was normal when we got her. (I know she's skinny, working on fattening her up but she's gone off her supers! Dubia feastings have commenced.)
Lily, does she look fat?
Bruce, from May 13, 15.5 inches, look good to you?
