I found out Crush was a female when she laid a clutch of 22 eggs. A few weeks later, she laid 26 eggs. She's eating regularly and gets soaked frequently.
My concern is that she pooped twice today (which she doesn't do often) and her beard is pitch BLACK.
Can you please help me understand why a female gets a black beard?
How long ago did she lay the 2nd clutch and did she lay them all at once or days apart? it's possible she is getting ready to lay more. Does she have a laying box available to her?
How long has her beard been black? Is she pushing like she is trying to expel eggs? Is she beathing any differently like she might be in distress and having trouble? Have you increased her calcium and giving her lots of protein?
Did she spend at least 2 hrs under the lights after eating to help her digest? Would be a good idea to offer her water drops on her nose, you could also add a few drops of veg oil to the water.

It would be a good idea to encouage her to take in oral fluids especially since she vomited. She may be making more eggs now as they can actually lay 3 clutches or more a few wks apart.

If she is sleeping with a black beard, that's an indication that something is really bothering her. There is the chance that she is egg bound or possibly an egg is too big for her to expel. Would be a good idea to have her checked out rather than waiting. Good luck.
OH my, that is a black beard! If it is black while she is sleeping then she is definitely in some type of pain or distress.
I agree, she may be egg bound possibly but getting her to a vet as soon as possible would be ideal.
