My bearded dragon Drako has never had a spot like this!!I don't know what to do I just saw this yesterday. I noticed that when I looked at him he had a shedding circle and these couple scales are sticking up a bit and when I flash a flashlight on it, it looks like it surrounded in yellow. Is this something I need to take to the vet or can I do it at home.

Hello,

That is very strange. It is possible it could be fungal, but it could also be a cricket or insect bite?
Do you know how long it has been present?
You could try getting some raw, unpasteurized honey to put on it daily in case there is infection
trying to set in.
Try that first for a week or two & take more pictures so we can help determine if it has improved
before going to the vet.

Hello,

It does look a bit smaller but still present. Definitely continue to treat the area, daily to help
it continue to clear up!

Hello,

I don't think it is fungal, but if you wanted to be sure you could take him in with the skin
culture so they can try to analyze it. Sometimes they just get a damaged scale that gets
infected or discolored.
Or you can simply continue treating it with honey for awhile to allow it to heal up more fully
before taking him in. It looks like it is healing but keep an eye on that area to be sure it isn't
fungal or starts to develop again.

Hello,

I posted on your other thread, too. Let us know how the healing process is coming along.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
