Recently my bearded dragon got bitten by crickets and they made a hole in him. I got all the crickets out, and made sure he got some rest. The next day I woke up to find these weird things that might've been caterpillars. They were small, black and hairy. There were 3 of them on his back.

Just go to the vet ASAP. He could have an infection. especially if crickets were INSIDE him. I suggest VET ASAP and switching to Dubia Roaches, or hand feeding crickets so they cant bite him

I thought Tracie had already responded to this and said to fill the hole w/ raw unpasteurized honey--here is her response
Oh my goodness, I haven't seen a cricket bite like that, poor dragon!
Have you cleaned out the tank to be sure there aren't anymore in there?
You can get some raw unpasteurized honey, or, antibiotic ointment & literally
pack the hole, filling it with one of those agents, to keep dirt & debris out of
it. Hopefully that will help ward odd infection.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
