Hey all! So I posted a thread in the general discussion about how Lenny has been crazy since I picked him up from my aunts(she watched him for a week) well today he had a bowel movement in his tank which he hasn't done in over a year(goes in his bath). Well when I picked him up I noticed aside from being skiddish I saw a few bent spikes. Well when I was cleaning him up I noticed a huge bump on his head and more bent spikes. So I'm taking him to the ER vet Saturday. My aunt said everything went "smoothly"
Hi there....poor Lenny....it looks like some type of cyst. Is it hard or soft ? Did it grow that quickly, it wasn't noticeable the other day ? Hopefully it's harmless and the vet can possibly aspirate/lance it if need be. Is Lenny more puffy looking all over or, is that just the picture ?

It is "squishy" kind of like if you bruise yourself and it swells, but a little more firm. It can be pushed in a wee bit(i didnt try hard, dont want to hurt him). He seemed rather un-phased by it. My mom said he got himself stuck between the glass/basking spot yesterday, it could be from that. It honestly could be a million things. I guess while i was at work today he moved his log that is in there, usually it spread across his tank and she said she found it moved all over. He has been so 'wild' since we've been back so he could have done it to himself. And honestly, could have been there when we picked him up and I didnt notice. Honestly the only reason i did see it was because since he had his bowel movement in the tank(hasnt done that in SO long) i was cleaning him up(he had it everywhere!). So i was paying attentive detail to him.
As far as him being puffy, no he is just....rather obese for a beardie. Which for the fact that he doesn't have a huge apetite, makes no sense. However, I work all day tomorrow and will lose my job if I dont come in, so I am getting him to the vet saturday morning at the university of illinois champaign-urbana(I live in chicago). I just dont know if I can get an appt or not, if not the ER staff tonight told me I can bring him to the ER dept at the vet office(only issue is the vet on shift wont be an exotics but they do keep one on call)
