I have been ordering silkworms online, just tried the second company-the first company was pretty good, but the last few times some of the silkworms arrived stuck in the mulberry stuff and thus dead (unable to be gently pried out). So I tried a different company, and some of them are pathetically small, less stuck but still not all that great. I noticed also that the top, while perforated, had a thin paperlike covering over the holes that I got some of it off after soaking and peeling. My question is, do they do this for shipping or because the worms are escape artists? The holes dont look big enough for a worm to squeeze through. How should I be keeping them, with holes open or just as sent, and how do I get them unstuck from their mulberry goo? Pics below for illustration:
