Hopefully this is the right place to put this post. I want to know how to ship dubia roaches. I'm planning to use USPS Priority mail but what is the procedure? Do I just drop them off (write all over the box "Live insects Handle with care") or tell them its perishable item and handle with care? Will they even ask what kind of perishable item or insect it is? I really appreciate it, since i never shipped any live stuff. Thanks
everytime i ship roaches, i just have them prepacked before i go to the post office....(you probably already knew this) ...and then i just give them the package and have it shipped priority....i dont tell them what it is or that it is perishable or anything....never had a problem either... just pretend you are shipping a book....lol...
The ones I get have a label on them saying "live insects do not leave in sunlight or leave in extreme temperatures". I have a post office and both boxes I got this week were just put in a parcel locker. No problem.
Priority mail - well insulated/packed. Heat pack if shipping where it's still cold. I loved the way I got today's shipment, in a plastic deli container with mesh over the lid (with holes in it), and even washed out the container to reuse.
I purchased from 3 dealers and one of them have written all over the Box "Live insect or was it feeder (dont remember), Handle w/ care" while the other two have no label. The website was helpful. Lets say if they were to ask what kind of insect how should i reply? They would probably be shocked if i said dubia ROACHES. Lol.
