Cora is roughly 19 months old and she has been eating like a horse lately.....getting a little belly. I have only seen her scratching once in her hiding rock and that was two weeks ago. Even though she is not scratching, do we need to hurry up and provide her something to dig in? She has a slate floor right now. I do not want her to get sick! I am worried that she developing eggs even though we do not have a male.
The pet store guys said to get unfertilized soil and vermiculite and put it in a rubbermaid container. I am hoping a plastic shoe box will do the trick, otherwise, I have to take out her log. I caught her scratching around one of her rocks tonight, but could that have been preparing herself to go to sleep (her light just went out).
Ok...how wet should the soil be and what should be the ratio for the soil and vermiculite? If I have time in the morning, we will get her box together before work...otherwise it will be in the evening...hopefully she will be ok!
Ok, put the dirt and vermiculite in a plastic shoe box and wet it down. So confused though...it seems really messy. Isn't she going to have dirt all over her? If I do the sand, what kind of sand do I get?
