This has been stressing my out since I got my bearded dragon 5 months ago––he is 7.5 months old now––as I have since never spent 24 hours away from him (oooof). What do I do when I need or want to go somewhere for a week (maybe two) where I can't bring him? Or even just a full day lol. I know I could try to get a friend to come feed him but I just don't know if I can trust anyone who isn't an expert, I have so much anxiety about all the things that could go wrong. Also, 1 or 2 weeks seems like a long time to go without roaming time, and I just don't think I could trust someone to let him roam (he could eat something on the floor, get stuck somewhere, take a leap of faith, etc.). I was hoping someone on here might live in the Southern California area and potentially be interested taking care of hime sometime this summer (I would pay of course). I'm supposed to maybe visit a sister in Europe...
But in general, what does everyone do? Am I just overprotective?
I moved your thread for more exposure!
It is always stressful anytime you plan on taking a trip & leaving your dragon behind or in the
care of another person for a period of time.
Thank you! The summer trip isn't happening anymore for covid reasons but it's still something I worry about for future trips. I normally live in Boulder CO in anyone has some advice.
