We gave him 3 lumber grasshoppers the one that is black and has the red stripe without thinking it could be poisonous!!! He hasn’t moved or ate anything in two days. He just lays there, we are scared he will die!! Help
Is your dragon an adult ? Although the lubber grasshopper has some toxicity I hope that your dragon will get through this. It would be good to get some activated charcoal or if he seems really ill get him to an emergency vet where they know how to handle this. If your dragon is smaller than 13-14 " then 3 large hoppers could also cause some impaction.
Yes, they are somewhat toxic indeed! As suggested by AHBD, if at all possible get some activated
charcoal into him as quickly as you can to help flush out his system right now. Be sure to get some
extra oral fluids into him, as well.
