Help! My dog got my beardie

Someone left my dog inside my son’s room & she got ahold of my beardie. I thought he was died but then saw he was slightly breathing. He doesn’t seem to be hurt but it’s stiff & breathing lightly. Should I be concerned? What are signs that something internally is wrong ?

The first thing to look for is a black beard. Either way a trip to the vet is probably the bast course of action.

Is his beard black at all? Sometimes after this type of incident happens, they are very
stressed & scared. They can remain very
still as if in shock, which is how they often deal with stress.
You don't see any external injuries though, is his head normal & not seemingly crushed in or injured?
Let us know how he is doing.

Yes that was I was thinking. He seems more in shock than anything else. His beard is dark but not as much as it was. Though he tends to get stressed so a black beard isn’t something I’m worried about. He’s been moving every so often& we have been giving him liquid through a syringe to help.

Overall I think he’s going to make it

Hello,

That is great news! Be sure to secure his tank so that the dog cannot get into the room again. I'm glad
that he seems to be recovering now. They do tend to go into shock or just very stressed when a traumatic
situation happens to them. You can't really blame them!
