Everytime ti try to pick him up he runs away from me and it kinda looks like that stresses him out. we got him 5 days ago! and also, he wont really eat anything. this morning like an hour after i put on his daylight, he was basking (thats all he really does) and it was time for breakfast. so i gave him a waxworm and he ate it. but then i wanted to give him another one and he started going crazy in the tank. scratching at the glass running all over his branches, anything to get away from my hand. since we got him, hes eaten maybe no more than a few pieces of greens. he doesnt go by his food dish at all or his water dish.
Welcome to the boards. He may just be a little flighty, and still recovering from the stress of moving. Could you answer some questions for me please?
What kind of UV light is he under?
What are the temperatures in your enclosure?
What are you measuring those temperatures with?
What size is his enclosure?
What substrate is he on?
What kinds of food are you offering?
How often does he poo?
How old is he?
How long is he? (Snout to Tail)
How much does he weigh?
Does he get bathed? If so, how often?
Is he shedding?
Sorry for shooting all these questions at you. I'll try to help as best I can. Hopefully, someone more experienced can add on or give you some more advice.
Some tips:
When I first got Loki, I didn't handle him any more than was absolutely necessary. I just sat in the same room with him and let him get used to me.
Near bedtime, you can wrap him up in a blankie and let him fall asleep on your lap.
For the dragons that like it, bath time can be a lot of fun. Fill a container (or your tub, depending on the size of your BD) with warmish water to about his shoulder, enough so that his vent is submerged but so that he can easily keep his head above water.

What you should do is RELAX! Many beardies go through a period of relocaton stress where they may not eat or poop like they normally do. When we got Tyson he went almost 3 weeks before he'd go to the bathroom and snubbed food for about a week. But once he settled in it was all systems go (literally).
Is your new beardie a baby? It seems to me that by nature they are a little busier. My youngest is about 3 months old now (best guess) and he is a hambone now...but for the first few weeks he ran away when we tried to handle him and spent a lot of time acting like a crazed beardie. Now he's sweet as pie and seems to look forward to people time.
Enjoy your new baby--he'll grow up before you know it.
