Help Me understand this

I have a dragon that's about 4 years old which looked to be going into brumation from everything that I've read. She's been a very healthy dragon thus far however after a week of being lethargic which I took as brumation as I don't believe she would have a parasite, or sickness since there were no other signs (ie darkness, or grey beard) she passed away last night. All her bowel movements looked normal, she slowly began to stop eating and became more tired, but still opened up her eyes and moved right up till we went to bed last night.

What did I miss or do wrong here? I'm really confused, she was my desk buddy.

Please accept my deepest condolences. 😔
I think it will be difficult to diagnose your case without further examination by a veterinarian. An autopsy may be required to determine the cause of death. Perhaps someone else will have ideas on this matter.

I think I may have a direction based on some video footage I have, and key words that are stick in my mind from my daughter. Last night I could see her rear up and take a really big breath 4 or 5 times and remembered my daughter saying she's smiling with her mouth open a couple of days ago. I have a feeling I completely missed the warning signs that she had a respiratory illness. Took her mouth open as her regulating temperature but I must've been terribly wrong.

Thanks. She was definitely one of the family losing her had left a hole.

Hello,

Oh no, that is very sad, I am so sorry you lost your girl.
Unfortunately, they are very good at hiding illness so many times a health problem is easily missed.
We are all here for you, it's the worst feeling to lose a precious dragon.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
