Okay so I'm gonna be getting a Western beardie.... is the care any different? I've been told that I need to mist ten daily and put a container of water in the tank so they can soak? Is this true?
Also all you Aussies out their what staple greens/veg do u feed?
I don't know about their care specifically, but I'd imagine it's pretty similar. They would live in relatively dry areas and woodlands similar to pogona vitticeps. My guess would be to not add humidity and offer similar lighting. I'm not sure if they have different specific requirements though. I look forward to seeing photos and hearing about your experience with a pogona minor!
I wouldn't imagine their care being much different. Like Cooper said, I wouldn't add humidity to the tank, though a bath every once in a while won't hurt. As far as greens/veggies, check out this list: http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
Westerns have a range that covers some similar habitats to centrals (check out http://australianherpetology.com/bearded.htm#.WkssGExuLg8 for the whole pongona family). I've only seen one person with one on the Aussie board but you'd think that husbandry would be similar to that for centrals. In Victoria they're not covered by our licences.
