Hi, my bearded dragon has a skin problem which I cant tell if its fungus or bacterial, its been more than three months with it and even after shedding the skin damage is still present. If any of you could identify it And help me out with the treatment I would appreciate it. Thanks! I’m attaching a picture
Its the decolored white/yellowish spot with a black halo around it on her beard....
Hi there, is the white area around his mouth going in to shed or is it coloring ? The odd coloring reminds me of the paradox bearded dragons, they have crazy white + purple patches on different parts of their bodies. If you Google pics of them you'll see. If that's not what it is, is there a heat element that he can come in contact with to possibly get burned ? BTW, is his snout short or is that the angle of the picture ?
Thats shedding, the skin damage that I refer is this one
Cant be heat damage, she doesn’t have the heat bulb close... its some sort of infection I think.... the only other health issue is that she is overweight almost 600g
Thats the problem... there are not herpvets in the country that I live... so I’m looking for some advice of maybe an oral broadspectrum antifungal medication
thanks for your support
And btw, paradox are awesome haha but too expensive
Which country do you live in?
You could try finding a regular vet to see if they could prescribe a general antibiotic.
Or you could try using some raw, unpasteurized honey on the area to see if that helped
out also. What type of creams do you have in the pharmacies there, possibly a silver
cream or something of that nature?
