Hello everyone...i just aquired two of my first bearded dragons.
First, 4-5month old, seems to be male(i can't say for sure yet on my own), and his name is Tubby...hes got a huge stomach! The pet store had been loading him with wax worms it seems like.
Second, 5-8 week old, not sure of sex, havn't named him/her yet.
These are my first bearded dragons, a friend has one nearly two years old and when i saw it I imidiatly wanted one of my own. She even ended up getting a second one when i got mine.
I plan on haveing them live in the same cage eventually. I built one roughly 5' long x 2' wide x 3' high. I assume that wil be big enough for two full grown. As of now Tubby(larger/older one) is inhabiting the large cage and i have the baby in smaller one.
Wax worms and crickets are the most readily insect available to me. Gut load them with assorted veggies(collard greens/carrot/peas/beans and more).
Also feed them assorted veggies.
This forum/community looks great, helpful and fun.
Congrats on the new beardies! This is a really fun site, and I've already learned so much about beardies. If you have any problems at all, feel free to ask on the forums. I'm sure you'll absolutely fall in love with the spiky lil' lizards!
