Hi there. I just picked up a bearded dragon this weekend. His name is Gunner. I have him set-up in a 30 gallon tank. With a infrared 100 watt heat light, and UVB Light. He is a little baby and so cute. I feed him crickets in the morning and afternoon, and I keep fresh collard greens in his bowl through-out the day. I guess my only question is does this look like a decent setup for now, and is it normal for him to not really enjoy veggies? He doesn't seem to be wanting anything but crickets, and trust me I spoil him with crickets. hehe. Any advice or answers would be nice. Enjoy the pics.
Welcome, I love his name and setup (I got Roku the same tank 8) ). As far as I know from reading from other people on the site, many juvies don't really take to eating veggies right away and some do. From my own experience, when I got Roku he was 2 months old and would not touch his veggies unless I tricked him with putting the worms in the veggie dish. He somehow for some unknown reason started to eat them on his own one day and eats at least one whole veggie dish every day now. My suggestion: keep offering the veggies and offer a variety and see what he'll like.
Oh, and another suggestion is if you want a better accuracy with getting temp and humidity gauges, go for the digital thermometer/humidity gauge (there is one that does both).

I have replaced his thermometer with a digital one, and I have replaced his infrared heat bulb with a 75 watt flood light, and his zilla coil uvb with a reptisun 10.0. He is starting to randomly eat veggies now. Not all the time though.
I like his tank! I want to put a fake dinosaur into my baby's viv, but I'm not sure if it would stress him out so I'm holding off. I love the tank idea though! Looks great!!!
My baby is definitely more interested in crickets then salad, but we've been pretty lucky. He'll at least take a bit or two of his salad and breakfast and dinner. I think most of their nutrition is supposed to come from crickets right now, so just keep offering the salad in the meantime.

Thank you!
Haha I want to have a dinosaur of some sort too! I am a slave to him. I want to give him everything really. But he's just a baby. He has plenty of time to keep getting spoiled and new toys.
