He is a bit stand offish still. Not wanting to blacken his beard too much but mornings before we get warm he likes to cuddletyrion is adorable! welcome to our crazy tribe.
I had 2 before. They were lost in the divorce. He got custody. Tyrion was adopted through a breeder where as the other 2 I didn't have the time for bonding. I have made sure this time I can bond but he seems to not want too.....dragon snuggles are just the best!
is this your first dragon? either way, feel free to ask as many questions as you need to. and keep asking if you don't understand a response until you do understand. we all want the best for our little scaly butt loves and the ones we meet on here.
He is. He has been with me since November 20th but had a hard trip. The temperature dropped fast so he was shipped early then he had to double back to an airport from a sorting center, then a 2 hour drive home to where he jumped from his bag an ran for 10 min with me chasing him to get him in his home. Yeah, I'm a bad mom I know.i've been in that situation before! not ideal by any means.
how long have you had tyrion? him not wanting to bond sounds like relocation stress if he's new to you.
It takes time to bond, especially hatchlings. Most of the hatchlings I've had didn't really start bonding until the 7 to 10 month range. They will get used to you and become handleable sooner, but it takes longer to actually bond.He is. He has been with me since November 20th but had a hard trip. The breeder has yelled at me for not handling more. But he gets a stripped beard has bitten me once and gets scared. I just refuse to force itIt takes time to bond, especially hatchlings. Oh welcome to the forum btw. your lil guy is a cutie
I agree. She keeps telling me he misses her which is maybe the truth. But to be honest, he doesn't seem to have been handled before as much as she saysdefinitely go off of what tyrion lets you know, not what the breeder says. there is no reason to cause unnecessary stress

It's relocation stress. I just got a new hatchling a lil bit ago, she is just now starting to settle in and be comfortable.I agree. She keeps telling me he misses her which is maybe the truth. But to be honest, he doesn't seem to have been handled before as much as she says
He gets his roaches by hand and then I do a canned cricket that is chopped up with his green beans and a small piece of blueberry. I have his kale and veggies coming on Thursday of this week. Took a while to make sure they were organic. Then I will try when I get his kale so he doesn't feel like he has to come so close to me to get his greens. Like @hdochow said, just follow his lead. Be patient it takes a lil time.
You can try hand feeding treats to build trust, but be careful though, they get spoiled and will refuse to eat out of a bowl.
