hi im new to this and am in the middle of setting up a home for hopefully two bearded dragons, it will be my 1st ever reptile pet so im an absolute begginer thought a forum would be a good place to learn and talk about these great creatures. ive allways loved the look of the beardies and that got me into looking them, so yeah thats basically it, other than that i can tell you how far i have got, i have made my own viv it is 36"x20"x20", but am totally aware i will have to build a bigger one in 6months to a year. i have my air vents in the back one higher than the other aech at different ends i have put a background round and cut out the vents and have put in my uv srip light, and thats it so far, i have a habistat dimmer on order which will be installed upon arrival bulbed then caged so all is good so far i think, im quite excited and cant wait to find my 2 beardies, once the home is ready ..
Welcome to the forum!! I am so glad that you are checking into things before you actually have one, so many don't. One thing that I will get out of the way, there is much controversy on having two bd housed together. They are territorial, even the females. Idealy, you would have to get or make two tanks, one for each beardy. This would eliminate the dominating issues that they tend to do.
Definately check around the site, they have great caresheets! If you would like any help, just ask! There are several seasoned members here that will be happy to assist!
Welcome to the boards. I would have to agree it is very unwise to house two or more dragons together. You could end up with injured or worse yet dead dragons. When housed together they can be very aggressive. I have 3 dragons and they are all housed separately.
