I know I have asked questions about this already, but I am still wondering what is best. With all the newer posts about the MegaRay, and about how other light and heating sources are being found to be more harmful, I am starting to question my sources.
I am still having a bit of trouble keeping my temps up. I get paid tomorrow and plan on buying whatever is needed to boost it where it should be.
Right now I have a Exo Terra 15W, 18", Repti Glo 8.0 for the UVB. I also have a Zoo Med 150W Repti Halogen for heat. I also have a Zoo Med Ceramic Infared Heat Emitter 100W - I haven't used this yet a all as I need to buy another light fixture that will take the wattage. What do you all think?
I have read that the, I think it's the Repti Sun 10.0 is best for UVB. I have him in a 55g, so the tank is about 3ft long - is the 15" long enough? I am going to take some past advice and hook the UVB fixture inside his abode tomorrow after work so it reaches him better. How about the Haogen light? Is there something better? And what about the ceramic heat emitter? Haven't heard too much about these on here - are they safe?
Anything else you all want to add would be appreciated!
