Hello, I am tweaking my enclosure lighting right now. All the 150 watt bulbs I buy do not last very long and I cannot afford to buy a $15 bulb every 2 weeks. So I am trying to add multiple bulbs for his heating. I have 2 125watt bulbs on right now and his temperature is at 84 degrees Farenhieght. I do not know what heat set up is the best or what to use. Any advice would be helpful. My tank is 4ft by 2ft by 2 ft. Thank you

Usually if lights are blowing that quickly, you either are having unstable power, or your dome is inadequate for the bulbs. Overheating the base can really shorten the life of the bulb. Maybe try using a wider dome that has a ceramic socket.

I have one with a ceramic socket and it's max is 150 watt and it's a large dome. Everyone I have talked to has had similar experiences with 150 watt bulbs

what brand of bulb are you buying? i've never had a bulb blow that quickly, especially on a consistent basis when paired with the correct fixture.

It's zoo-med but I've tried pretty much everybrand imaginable and had the same experience. Some last one month but most only last 2-3 weeks max
