Your screen on the tank now is a wide holed or a fine mesh?Hi Everyone!
My dragon is a bit picky with greens and his heat lamp and UVB are on the screen. I have a t5 (will be moving this into the enclosure once I get my new dubia.com setup).
I noticed Drogon's head was shaking a bit today, which freaked me out. I've only seen this happen once or twice. Drogon's appetite is sometimes on and off. One day he is ravenous and the next he's like nah I'm good, so it's hard to establish a good calcium/vitamin routine. I give him calcium WITH D3. What do you recommend for my particular setup and picky little man?
Thank you!
Ok so w/ it being the wide hole I would try moving it so its unobstructed - he may not being getting enough UVB if its sitting on the screen- w/it being unobstructed have your distance around 12 inches and then watch the head tremors -- see if they stop -- how old is Dragon- and are you giving the calcium D3 on his insects?
How many times per week are you giving the insects? I would try moving the UVB first - see if that helps- are you giving any calcium w/ out D3 ? If not I would start w/ that the other two days a week on the insects - as far as distance in your 120 gallon you want it inside 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor pieceDrogon is about 3 years old now and yes Ive been giving it to him once or twice a week. Is that enough?
Also just to clarify when I get the new 120 gallon Dubia.com tank and I include the t5 under screen, make sure it's at least a foot away from his basking spot?
ok so I would start feeding salads every day Nutrition ContentHere is his feeding schedule:
Tuesday
Chopped Veggie Mix w/ bee pollen
3 -5 supers and some mealworms -calcium dusted + multivitamin powder
Wednesday
Skip
Thursday
1 tsp of calciworms (about 20-30 worms)
Friday
Skip (occasional treat: either hornworm or waxworm)
Saturday
Chopped Veggie Mix w/ bee pollen
3-5dubias + 1 super-calcium dusted + multivitamin powder
Sunday:
Skip
Monday
1 tsp of calciworms (20-30 worms)
Sometimes he's not in the mood to eat and I'll either try the next day or wait until the next feeding day.
One time per week w/ d 3- the other 2 days calcium w/ out d 3 vitamins 2 x per week dust w/ both calcium and vitamins together-I'll try my best with salad, but he's pretty bad about it. I always offer it with bugs.
So, at least 2-3x a week calcium d3
other days calcium without d3. What about vitamin supplement? Just in case he's being picky with his salad. Like I said, it's a hit or a miss with this one V_V
For the calcium without d3, what brand do you recommend? Is this good? One time per week w/ d 3- the other 2 days calcium w/ out d 3 vitamins 2 x per week dust w/ both calcium and vitamins together-
