Rocky ate a cactus about a week ago and I didn't think to post it on here until now. I have been giving him a bath everyday and he has pooped twice. So I think he may be ok.
So I had this cactus which was very small but it still had kinda sharp spikes on it. My mom places the pot with the cactus in it into the cage while I am gone. I come back to check on him and I notice the pot with no cactus in it and i'm like "surely he didn't eat it" but I saw little bits of the cactus. Then I think WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT! Wouldn't that hurt? I look over and I see vegetables are still in his bowl, like what the heck.
So I kind of freaked out but figured there wasn't much I could do except give him some long baths and I didn't feed him for a few days until he pooped and he pooped again today.
He has pooped twice since I posted this and the last one I still saw some root/dirt and spikes but he is still acting normal. the cactus had spikes like you touch it and ouch, that kind, So I don't think it would be a staple.

Not every cactus is good for beardies. The ones that are good have "pads" on the side, and even than you should remove the spikes (this cactus doesn't have many spikes), and prickly pear cactus. But you should never have a REAL cactus IN the enclosure. That's just wrong.
