So, I noticed this morning that my beardie Darwin had diarrhea. He's about 10 months old I'm guessing and his basking spot is around 100 with about 75 on the cool side. He has a reptisun 10.0 ubv and hes not on sand. Hes on coconut fiber so he can digest it if he eats some. The only change that he has had is that I started feeding him superworms a couple days ago. What should I do about his diarrhea?
The change in diet may have his stomach upset which is fairly common. I would just keep an eye on it for now and see if it returns to normal over the next week or so. You may want to offer some extra water in case the diarrhea is dehydrating him a bit. If it keeps up for more than a couple of weeks though I'd have a fecal test done.
I'm not sure. It depends on what caused them to die. If it was heat in shipping the rest should be OK but if it's a disease or they ingested something harmful I wouldn't feed them off. They can live for quite a while so I'd just keep them in a bin with some dry chow/oats and some carrot or other veges for hydration and let them be for a while. If they're OK in a couple of weeks they should be OK to feed off.
