help! please help

my bearded dragon is having trouble with his eyes. the vet said he has shed stuck in his eyes (idk if it’s even that anymore because he’s been to the vet 3 times and it’s been like 20 days and it’s still the same)he’s on antibiotics, pain meds, amino acid supplement, and some eye drops. his right eye is swollen and i can’t physically see his eye and his left eye is swollen but he can still see but not very good. i’ve noticed he’s losing weight and his poops were weird and small and kinda watery cause he’s not eating like he should and i’m assuming the antibiotics are not helping that. i was thinking about putting his greens in a blender to make them kind of like a paste because i’m giving him syringes of medicine every day anyways. has anyone had experience with that? should i try it out? i’ve tried force feeding him the greens (opening his mouth and putting them in there) but he just chews them and spits them out. please any advice. i’ll attach a picture in comments EDIT: i’m looking for another vet by the way

i don’t believe it’s colored or anything. it’s the basic 150 watt you would get from a pet store, and the UVB is the long one. it’s the 10.0 output reptisun one that’s reccomended and it’s mounted inside the cage on the top

Ok so it sounds like its not lighting causing the eyes - what kind of substrate? I am gonna throw this out there but it sounds like a internal issue going on --- has blood work been done -- that is not stuck shed -- please get him in for blood work -- I posted a website for you in my previous post -- make sure the UVB is inside the tank for a fine mesh screen 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor -- I am flagging Tracie she can better help you here -- shes the vet tech on the forum

Aw poor Rico, I hope you get some help with a good vet Ashley, the one that has seen Rico might not know what's wrong. It might be kidney or heart related but a blood test can help determine a lot of things.
Wishing a good outcome for Rico and you !

Hello,

Oh I hate to see little Rico's eyes being so swollen like that.
I'm sure it is definitely bothering him. I agree
with AHBD that it could be renal or heart related that is causing that type of swelling of the eyes.
Which antibiotic is he on? Which pain medication is he on?

Let us know how he is doing.

so he is on .20mg/ml of Enroflox antibiotics and .03ml of Amino Acid Oral Solution and his painkillers are Meloxicam.

You can have them look for specific things to cut cost -- ask Tracie what they should test for

Hello,

A blood test should not cost $650, that is gouging
indeed. Do try to find another vet, if possible to compare pricing. Or, ask that vet if they can potentially lower their prices to help out.
How is he doing? Are the doses correct for him?

a little bit of an update, i was finally able to see a specialist today and she took a swab of the pus in his eye and it’s going to see the dna of whatever is in his eye even if it’s dead bacteria to see if it has antibiotic resistant genes i think. she sent me home with a more bacteria specific antibiotic and a higher dose of pain meds and eye drops. if the swab is inconclusive then we’re going to do a blood test but she thinking its more likely external. she flushed out his eye and was able to see it and she said the actual globe looked fine it’s the lid that’s swelling. She mentioned bacterial infection of some kind or a growth whether it be cancer or something similar cause his ears have some sort of membrane over them too which is new..we will see.

She was having a staring contest with a mealworm. I guess I never taught her to not play with her food, lol.
