Happy beardie watched tv today

Kai had some cuddle time today and watched tv. Found out he is ok with cocomelon (yuck), hates nature documentaries, and LOVES British Open golf (not for me, but hey, he is a big fan lol, wouldnt take his eyes off the screen). Now hes basking after a busy morning.

Ah... I can admit none of the behaviors of "watching some movie or computer game for 2 - 5 minutes, then jumping to the floor and wandering around" is German. Also not human equivalents of doing so are ;) :D

(If, at all, I could see some similarities between me and him: Introvert person picked "shy guy" as a pet. But as there was only this one dragon left in the pet store, even that would be a bit too much ;) Okay, introvert person ended up with shy guy, better.)
Oh, I was just making a joke that his language of choice in German because his HOOMAN is German 🙂

We don't have a ceiling fan, so no idea about that. (They are not common here but available. We rather bought a standing fan to not have the hassle with the installation.)
When Taco was younger, he hated the laundry drying rack. As Germans (here it is ;)) and also like most Chileans, we have the habit of not running a dryer, but hanging clothes. When used, the rack is out on the balcony, and we bring it in complete with clothes. He hated that in the beginning. Likely reminded him of birds when e.g. t-shirts on hangers move around when the drying rack is carried inside - and we wear mostly black clothes.
After a while, no problem at all anymore. When we bring it in, he just watches without changing any of his behavior, and then when we take off the clothes and fold them, he watches very curiously.

What he likes to watch very much: Construction site across the street... can even be preferred over my presence *sigh* Otherwise, he also loves watching me doing crafts, modelmaking, woodwork, tinkering... which I do either outdoors on the balcony table, or indoors at the kitchen table where I then put a thick bamboo board on top for protection (we don't have a workshop or hobby room or such). He once watched me some 3 hours filing down parts... Me pulling out electronics parts of a protoboard and sorting them back into their individual boxes is also a big hit. Of course he's in his enclosure when I do so.

I think the ceiling fan reminds them of birds also.
Taco probably thinks some of the small bits look like a tasty snack, it's probably a good thing you are wise enough to not let him near them 😉

Despite an IC might look like a bug, a resistor like a larvae (nice stripes!), I doubt he would try to eat them, or thinks me handling them is some kind of food preparation.
I would rather worry he might lick one out of curiosity, and then it sticks to his tongue and gets swallowed. (I'd bet some cases of "beardie ate something" happen like that.) So not around small parts, and I sweep before letting him out to avoid anything like that by mistake might be on the floor.
When I do such things, he calmly watches - his basking platforms are at a nice height to give an overview of the room - and I had never seen that he wants out while I'm doing so. The "Don" (Don Taco) is observing, don't disturb! ;)

They are curious lil animals for sure. Ours watch us all the time. Stumpy's net is slightly raised on the sides and sags just a tad in the middle, where it is attached makes a very nice chin prop. And it's elevated. She can lay in it and be completely hidden which she loves. But if we are around doing anything she scoots forward and peeks over the chin prop and watches us. It's cute as heck when she does that 🙂
This is her net, but she is setting opposite of where she peeks from in this picture.

Is anything else your guys like/don't like to watch?
My guys ALL distrust/HATE a ceiling fan. But only after they see it turned on. From then on they keep an eye on it, even if it's off. On the other hand they all seen to likectgecpin wheels in the yard. Strange lil creatures lol.
Foxy rarely gets scared. I can only remember two cases in all time. The first case was when we went to the park and came out to a cliff near the river. Paragliders were flying over the cliff, and Foxy was sitting on my shoulder. He was clearly visible on my shoulder because of his orange color and one paraglider decided to take a closer look at him and glided down to us from a height, flew over us probably at 30 feet. Foxy quickly hid under my chin.
The second case was when we were warming ourselves on the balcony, lying on a sun lounger, a helicopter flew over us, it flew very low, Foxy instantly turned into a ring around my neck lol. I covered him with my hands, as if he was hidden in a crevice of the rock, this calmed him down a lot.
That's all, I think I can't remember anything else that would scare him.

Oh I forgot the helicopters. My guys hate them also.
That was pretty rude of the paraglider. To me that's akin to riding a dirt bike past someone on horseback.

Kai likes when I fold laundry in front of him, its like tv to him I guess. He doesnt like the curtains in the bedroom opened..strange huh? I thoughtbhe would like the view. He likes to come out and doesnt always want to go back in...he likes being carried around the inside of the house. He hates fast movement.

Curious or nosey? Lol
My beardies watch everything.
Rocky hates nature.
Ruby hates life but they both watch everything that i do. Rocky is the president of the nonexistent neighborhood watch.
Ruby watches tv daily. Bee movie and dora and peppa pig. He loves nick TV.

Rocky only pays attention to tv if the person looks like me. Otherwise it's window time. I find that creepy but interesting at the same time.
He hates leaves and plants on tv.

I don't think he had bad intentions. He was curious and didn't know he looked like a bird and could scare.
I know your right, but I'd probably would have still thrown a rock at him lmao 🤣

I've noticed that with movement with my guys also. Turning around quickly bugs them worse than walking quickly to.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
