Ok on the inches and I believe the bulb is due for a change. It is a little over 6 months. Closer to 7. I think I had info that suggested switching out at 6. Is that correct?
I also read where you had suggested a towel instead of his hammock..He hates change of any sort. Will switching that be as difficult for him to handle stress wise as the hamster hammock o had tried earlier? Just in your opinion..I'm sorry I have so many questions.
You might put the hammock on top of the towel at first, then take the hammock out after about a week. And no Lidocaine, it might be an irritant of some sort and their scales are not absorbent like our skin is anyway. The uvb placement is good, but it probably will need changed soon.

Thank you. I believe he is in some pain. It almost sounds like he us letting out a little puff of air if you aren't super careful how you handle him. Then there's the twitching of his hindleg. He has difficulty getting his balance on occasion as well. He seems so uncomfortable.
