Over the past few days I've noticed a patch on my dragons foot, it's kinda brown and damaged looking but doesn't seem to cause her any pain or anything. Recently she's been VERY restless and hyper, we've had weird weather here so I assumed it could be her after brumation hyperactivity. She'll run and pace and dig constantly throughout the day, and I figured she had wounded her hand somehow while doing that or something, but I don't know for sure. I'll try to link a picture below but I don't quite know what I'm doing lol.
Hi there, it's not fungus but is most likely connected to the behavior that you mentioned. Does she have loose substrate or anything of that color in her tank ? It would be good to set up a dig box for her in case she's developing eggs. How long has she been out of brumation and is she eating well ? Can you post a full body pic of her and pic of the entire tank ?

She gets really hyperactive after winter every year, never really acting like she's gravid or trying to lay, her temps are normal, around 100⁰ for basking. When she does her pacing and running she never looks like she's upset, never black bearding or stressed or anything. Most of the time she's happy if I let her out, but I take college classes so I can't be home to let her do that all day
We had a rock carpet in the cage, it's seen in one of the pictures, I took it out recently because if her digging and pacing is causing the wounds I don't want it in there.
There's also a picture of her tail, bc she has little scales that seem messed up occasionally throughout her belly and the back of her tail, along with another dark brown/red wound but it's not as big. Nothing ever looked like it was "spreading" but i get paranoid about her having infections.
It could have been from the sand mat, good thing to get rid of it. It's like rough sandpaper, nothing like what they live on in the wild. The pet industry comes up with some useless money making stuff, that's for sure. She looks good + healthy and the scales on her tail are perfectly normal and very common.

Thank you so much! I realized how the mat was shortly after we got it, but I figured she lazes around all day so surely she wouldn't be literally grinding her hands on it but nope! I put some paper towels in so hopefully she can stop hurting herself like this. Do you recommend anything to put on her hand or do you think it'll go away with time?
