I was wondering thoughts on my new habitat idea. I have a spare room hard wood floors. I keep both my dragons. In each has there own custom encloser. But I was thinking of making into two enclosers that take up the whole room and just devide them by a wall. Each encloser would be eight feet long by three feet tall. With a open top. And have a ceramic heater heat the whole room to appropriate temp then have there uvb/uva lights to bask and get the uvb they will need. I have stone tiles and coarse tile I'd lay for a substrate. Lots of branches and. And stones to make hides. Just was getting any additional ideas. If my idea is wrong
Thanks. I got the idea when I. Made a huge. Play area so I could play with them and let them roam and they loved it. So I though why not just make the same area and devide it in half. And just let them have a big encloser I can get in with them and play. Plus way easier to clean. All there is walls. I don't seal there tiles down. I pick the dirty ones up. Put them in dish washer and put a new. Fresh one down. And then every week I pull them all up and. Bleach water the floor this way I can make two mini deserts. And the wood I use is prestaind and urethane already and slick so even the crickets can't climb up them lol
I'm jelouse my husband would never be onboard with it though haha
I wanted to mention radiant heat panels too, combined with a few basking/MVB lights you could get some good sized basking sites and have some happy dragons!
Ya I got uvb/uva 10.0 bulbs but I'm gona get some mvbs when I get the cash. Bc im gona need a bit more. But they were both rescues my adult female is stunted at no bigger than a six to ten month old. But she is happy and loves to hunt and investigate everything bc her first four years of life she spent almost alone. No insects, uvb, proper heat, no fruit, no supplements, now I got her happy and healthy. The baby was almost in the same. Situation once I realized it I kicked my roommates out and kept her. She quite the little hunter. Lol
