Growth questions

My bearded dragon Reggie is 2 years and a few months now. I understand they stop growing mostly between a year and a half and two. Do they continue to grow slightly any longer than that? I'm not worried he's underweight, he just seems a bit small compared to one's I see. When I go to pet stores or the internet I feel like a lot of the ones I see tend to be bigger/hunkier than he is. It may me important to know he's actually a female so I'm not sure how that affects his size. I posted an update on his size and weight a few months ago and was told he looked good, and he's stayed consistent with that. He's 16 inches long and 370ish grams. Is this a maturity thing or his he just on the smaller side?

He does look really good!

They usually "stop" growing when they reach their genetic potential which should be somewhat between 12 and 24 months.
They continue to grow very slightly (basically for ever) after that but it won't really be noticable.

Females will be (on average) a bit smaller than males. But genetics play a bigger role than gender.

For example my boy is two and a half years, while my girl is 13 months but she is longer and heavyer than him still.

Reggie is missing probably an inch or two of her tail, looks like. That extra length would put her firmly in the normal size for the female category or even a smaller male category 🙂

Omg that's so weird. I've had him since he was 6 weeks, and he's never been in any sort of accident with it. The only thing I can think of is after I got him there was a tiny black tip on his tail that I thought was either stuck shed or tail rot. I put antibiotic ointment or something like that for a few days, and it ended up just like coming off one day and never caused another issue. It was super small but if it was tail rot maybe it could have stunted the tail growth or something? I never noticed it before but it definitely does look like a bits missing.

I had one that did the same thing, I never knew why. Maybe bad circulation or something 🤔
If never gave her any more issues after the end came off either.
True tail rot is an infection, but I'm not sure if it could stunt them a bit or not.

Your dragon looks great and healthy looking though! Dont go by mine...he is super lean and tall...just kept getting longer and longer instead of filling out lol. I think hes finally done growing though. Hes a year and 3 months. They all have different shapes and sizes just like us.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
