Hi there i have an issue with greg my bearded dragon.
He seems to be really limping on his back legs when walking to the point where sometimes he falls onto his back always been there to help but still very much worries me
i have a video of him walking on my account. (please tell me if you can't find it IMG_6612.MOV | Bearded Dragon .org )
To me he seems very weak which i can't understand, i have been away for the last 10 days on holiday and my mother has been looking after him however don't remember him limping before, first thought is that its signs of MBD being so weak but my mother says he hs had some calcium powder not sure how much that is though, and also i have upgraded my UVB lighting set up 6 months ago so can't assume that's the problem either, i will attached phot of set up too (Arcadia brand). also have replaced the bulb just to make sure.
He is still pooping normally but seems not wanting to eat since I've been come back.
can someone please help be diagnose the problem as I'm not sure what to do to help?
Please get it unobstructed meaning NO screen either take it off or inside the tank and place a piece of basking decor directly under it 6-8 inches -- 12 inches is too far for a T 8 --- it will need to be replaced again in 1 month - they say 6 I recommend 5 ---

yes I would invest in upgrading your UVB to a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb but your also going to haft to get a new fixture -- the walking funny is a good sign of MBD -- you want to stop the progression of it getting worse and other health issues -- has he been pooping ? what about appetite is it slow of off or not eating?

I have only just upgraded my lighting set up to this as advised to by this forum, and I am unable to fit a T5 set up as it’s a full wooden vivarium and t5 need to t be fitted above a mesh if I’m correct?
Would it be a good idea to but x2 uvb T8 bulbs in there?
Apparently he has pooped on Saturday like I mentioned though I did not see it as I was away but apparently it was big poop.
I haven’t seen him eat at all in two days now and over the last 10 days he hasn’t eaten much at all if anything x1 locust/hopper a day

That would be the uvb incorrectly placed- ok the T 8 is good why was it advised to go w/ the T 8? The screen determines where the uvb goes along w/ height of your tank- you don't want a T 5 in a 16" tall tank- get your T 8 distanced as I posted and watch his behavior
It looks like he is probably having some calcium trouble. What brand of T8 tube are you using,
Reptisun 10 or Reptiglo 10?
It would be a good idea to upgrade his lighting to a T5 high output tube bulb.
Are you giving a good calcium supplement right now?
Is there any way that he could have fallen & hurt himself?
