So, about 5 mins ago Nova pooped. She always poos normally and regularly but this time it was different. Its like pale green. The urate even had a green tint to it. She pooed fine, but its just the color that worries me. She eats collard greens, and loves those 'bearded dragon bites'. I dont know if its those that changed the color or not?....
Also she is fed crickets 2x daily, and phoenix worms. Once a week I will give her a few waxworms too, but she hasnt had any recently. The crickets are fed potato, omega one fish food, flukers water crystals, and flukers gut load. Could the fish food from the crickets be doing it?
She has been her normal self. Eating. Basking. Running around exploring. I can telll you everything about my viv, if needed.
Heres what it looks like.
Please help, if you can. Im really worried. :?
Thank you.
Oh, that would most likely be from the fish food, & the gut loading you are giving the crickets.
I would not feed the fish food to the crickets though, just stick with the dry gut load for crickets as you are already using the Flukers.
Is this the first time this has happened?
Yeah this is the first time its happened...but the thing is I just started feeding the crickets the fish food(a veterinarian actually told me to use it) today, and Nova had already eaten before I put the fish food in the tank with the crix. I was trying to remember if she had already ate before I posted the original post, but I just realized that she did. So it wasnt the crickets...but I guess I wont feed them the fish food now. Ha.
Do you think it could be those bearded dragon bites? I dont know if you've ever seen them, the little red/pink soft cubes?
I am curious about this also because I had my beardie have the same thing for the first time yesterday. I also feed mine crickets (with flukers gut loading) and the bearded dragon bites. I wonder if it is something to do with those because my beardies are picky and will practically only eat those and live feeders.
Im kinda glad to know Im not the only one who has that problem. I really hope it is just the bearded dragon bites that have something to do with the change of color. But if anyone else has this problem with those bites please let me know and give me some ease of mind.
What is in the bearded dragon bites?
Yes, it is very possible that they could cause the discoloration of the stool. I have seen that before, so maybe try going off of the bites for a day or two just to see if the stool changes color.
