I truly apologize if I am out of line by posting this here, but I don't know what else to do. I have a green anole lizard that was lost in the house for about a week, found her today and she is very thin, very weak. I gave her some pedialyte, soaked her for a few minutes in some heated up a little, gave her some jumpstart and bearded dragon pellets dissolved in pedialyte. Does anyone know on anything else I can do for her? We bought her in ocean city Maryland at the end of July. She is a little girl. Any help would be appreciated, she is my granddaughter and I would like to be able to save her. I do belong to my bearded dragon Puff, that is why I thought maybe someone here could help.
Thank you and again, sorry for asking about a green anole on here, didn't know what else to do.

Just keep her hydrated, if she's able to drink + move around leave her in a small tank and mist it heavily 3 - 4 times a day. Is she responsive at all ? She needs hydration now rather than any food, so the pedialyte and water should help her out. She ate the b.d. bites ? That's a good sign, and really surprising. Hopefully she'll bounce back after rehydrating her.
She didn't eat them, they were mush in pedialyte, gave her some with a syringe. She is not really responsive, and not moving much, if I blow gently on her, warm air from my mouth, she moves then. I will try to give her some pedialyte and water. Then put her back and mist her. Thank you!!
Have her a small tupperware container on paper towels with a small lite on her, temp is about 90. Poor little thing acts like she is gasping, then kinda retracts her right side....feel so bad for her!! By the way, she is my granddaughters lizard, not my granddaughter...oops.
Well, poor little Charlie Bob didn't make it. I feel so bad, I truly wanted to save her and did everything I could think of to help her. I dread having to tell my granddaughter, heck, she will probably handle better than I am though. Goodness, she wasn't even mine, although I did take care of her. I will not survive if I ever loose Puff. Thank you guys for all your help and for letting me ask for help for a lizard other than a bearded dragon.
Sincerely, Kelly and Puff
The closest pet shops are in Monroe, La, and at this point they don't have any in yet. Petco may get some in in the morning. And its o.k., had already been checking on it because her lizard had been missing for a week already..figured one of the cats got it.
That is really sad, I'm sorry that happened! Anoles are very easy to lose, as they are escape artists and quite sneaky. I hate to say it but I think you should tell your grandkids the truth about what happened to their anole. If it were my anole, I would want to know, even as a kid. Losing a pet is a part of life, and you can always buy them a replacement, but they should know it is a replacement and not their old lizard. If that's what you mean....awwww
She was here the day we lost her lizard. She was sad and cried a little and I told her we would get her another one. Today when I found Charlie Bob, I told my granddaughter when she got out of school. I told her she wasn't doing too good and I didn't know if she would make it or not but that I was doing everything I could for her. When Charlie Bob passed I called her and told her. She cried alot then, but I felt it best to tell her everything. I had thought about not telling her that I found her today until I was sure she was going to make it. But then I realized that wouldn't really be fair to her. so I told her. She will be o.k. Its tough to loose a pet, but unfortunatley it is a part of life.
