Hey all,

Im hoping to get a little bit of advice please?
So I posted not long ago about my Beardie refusing live food, I have offered her others and she just refuses it all BUT is still eating her greens like a good girl!

I was told she looked gravid so I showed a picture and asked in the reptile shop and they said she definitely appears gravid (I showed a few extra photos before I visited them), so my questions are:
1. How long should it take her to lay the eggs? It’s been around 1.5-2 weeks now and she still isn’t touching live food
2. What should her belly feel like? I feel two little lumps but I’m not overly sure if it’s eggs or even maybe above her belly
3. Should I take her to a vet about the live food avoidance as it is starting to worry me a bit

Many thanks

D

Can you post some pics of her from above and the side ? If eggs are fertile you can usually see the lumps, infertile eggs you can't usually tell. A chubby female is pretty common, it doesn't mean they are gravid.

This is her at the moment in the first 3 and a couple of weeks ago in the second 2. They would definitely be infertile eggs

Hello,

She is definitely round. It doesn't appear the eggs have dropped low enough but should
soon. I am sure she is ready to lay them! Is she eating anything?

Hey Tracie,

She is eating ALL of her greens like a good little girl, she eat 1 locust and 1 worm yesterday, first time in a week or so! Had tried her on others but she wasn’t interested, she’s loving the greens though!

Thank you for your help
