Hi, I recently posted about my girl bee,she has been very restless, glass surfing, black bearding and not eating for about 3 days. She has been vets 3 times in the past 2 days, the first appointment they couldn’t feel any eggs but agreed she was bloated and gave medicine to help her digestive system.I held back on giving her any because it wasn’t widely used with reptiles, this morning she was even more restless and agitated.I took her back today at 9am and was told they couldn’t feel anything and wanted to preform and enema,I refused the enema due to the fact I feel it would cause more harm.I insisted that we get an ultrasound to see if she did have any eggs,we did the ultrasound and she is full of eggs.Unfortunately bee is a rescue and was kept with other beardies before she came to me,she lost both her back feet and has a few infections but over the last 2 years she has become very healthy and even a bit chubby.I don’t know her exact age or if she has had eggs before but I am was given the impression by previous owner she was bred. She was kept in today at the vets and received a shot of anti inflammatory, painkiller, calcium and another to help contractions start.she has been digging a lot and active at the vets but they asked me to pick her up and bring her home as they think she’d feel more comfortable at home.I picked her up at 6 and she’s still very active but has a black beard and bobs occasionally, she has a box (sand and coco soil the block that you wet and it expands, sorry don’t know the name) and she has been digging in the Lay box but is running around a lot.She has drank quite a lot of water from a syringe and seems alert,I’m offering her water every 30-45 minutes. She just seems very uncomfortable and stressed out,I am taking her back tomorrow at 9am for a repeated ultrasound to see if the eggs are moving.I am cautious to give her a bath atm as she is very active and doesn’t seem to want to stay still. She has a constant black beard but only bobs very occasionally. All of my beardies are in housing up to standard and with the right set up lights etc.All housed separately and she has not been near any to mate. My main concerns are the eggs going bad inside of her,I lost my old beardie to egg binding at 10 and it was very traumatic. Is there anything else I can do to help her,she just seems very uncomfortable and I am worried the black beard is a bad sign or if she’s just stressed over needing to lay.Any experience or opinions on surgery/spaying would also be appreciated as I feel this may be an option in the future. Sorry for the length of this post and thank you to anyone who replies!
