I dunno if it counts as a rescue or not, but I adopted a beautiful adult beardie off craigslist last week. He was being kept in a 20 gallon long tank without a UVB bulb. It didn't take him too long to get used to his new viv, a 40 gallon breeder with proper reptisun uvb bulbs.
He's a full adult and hasn't had any problem eating his food, he went after his sqaush and collard greens within 5 minutes of me putting it in his cage. Same result with the worms.
Anyway, here's a pic of him eating.
I've taken to calling him Dusty cause he looks like he's covered in dust
It counts as a rescue! I adopted Yoshi off of Craig'slist too. Like Dusty, Yoshi was in a tank with the entirely wrong setup. I was shocked he could live the first two years of his life with the wrong diet and setup. But three weeks of proper care and tlc and he is thriving! Kudos to you for adopting an adult beardie too!
