Hey guys, so in a few days I'm going on vacation and I'll be gone for 4 days. And I was wondering how long my beardie can go without eating. It's not that I can't get anyone to come feed him, its just that I don't have anyone that would clean up after him. Bandit is a big pooper. He goes once a day. At the most he'll wait a day extra. So I don't know what I should do. Any help is useful. Thanks
Since he's an adult, he'll probably be fine with a salad left with him. He may even be able to hold a poop. If you can put him on a throwaway substrate temporarily and have someone just toss that when it gets soiled and freshen his salad it would be best but as an adult he should be able to handle 4 days on his own without much issue as long as his lights are automated.

Alright. I always keep a paper towel under his basking spot, but sometimes he bites it. I think I'll have somebody feed him on the 3rd day and then if he goes I'll be able to work on it the next day I come home. So then it doesn't sit there.
That sounds reasonable. If he bites the paper towel and eats it then I'd switch to something plastic or a bit harder to ingest. The shelf liner may work well. That's still easy to clean or cheap to throw out and replace.
