I know it is very common in bearded dragons, but I'd like to figure out why Rambo is doing it. I've had Rambo for about three days and he wont stop running over to the corner of his cage and starts surfing. I've checked out that particular spot where he starts to surf and I see nothing. I've checked the entire cage many times and find nothing that could be stressing him out. I'd appreciate some advice on this to try to figure out why he's glass surfing. Thanks! Rambo says hi!

If you did not go over the UVB please do so now --- glass surfing could be the tank is too hot or UVB is incorrect or the tank is too small - we need to rule out this stuff to see what the issue could be
brand and bulb of the UVB where is it in the tank how old is the bulb -? NO coils please
basking temps what are they how are you getting them NO stick ons please you want a digital probe thermometer and surface temps NO air / ambient please -
can he see his reflection?
Basking temps and UVB are crucial to the dragon - they control the overall behavior and health of the dragon

Mines do it. He likes to be out and held more than he likes to be in his terrariums. So he does it when he wants to be out or when he sees his reflection. He only glass surfs on the cool side. I covered the glass on that side and I didn’t help. So now imma find something else to reflect his shadow.
Mine does it and I take him out and he runs around and is a happy dragon. Mine is really active and loves to spend time out of his cage and sometimes hes just reaallllly lazy. But even if hes in a lazy mood i take him out and he does not want to sit he wants to run.
