Binx has been making it a habit the past couple of nights to start glass surfing as soon as I put him in his cage for bed. He runs around the whole cage, surfing on each pane of glass and then moving to the next. I tried holding him for a bit until he got to sleep and putting him in there but he immediately wakes up and runs more. This goes on throughout the entire night (I wake up a couple times now because of it). We're both loosing sleep and becoming stressed from it.
Here's a little about Binx in case it's helpful
He is very energetic during the day but only outside of his tank, while he's in the tank he just chills
He is 7 months old and currently shedding his tail(started last night) and shed his body yesterday
Thank you to anyone who replies :3
If it just started recently, it could be a combination of things. The shed may have him upset and his may be reacting to hormones. Both of these are temporary, fortunately. If everything else is the same and he is just acting up then that would be my initial guess as to what's going on. If I'm right, you'll just need to be patient and wait it out. It shouldn't last too long. Keep an eye out for weight loss or sudden lethargic behavior though, as that may indicate a health problem.
Its a red light yeah and I know I should have a ceramic dick but he goes in his cave at night and gets under the blankets so it's never bothered him before
The red light may be the cause, probably not though since it just started. You should remove the red light regardless tho, as it interferes with our beardies sleep. Bearded Dragons can actually see this red light, so there isnt much difference between a red light and a reg light visually, to a dragon. If your inside temps dip below 65 at night, you can use a CHE(Ceramic Heat Emitter) at night to supply nighttime heat. If temps stay above 65, no supplementary nighttime heat is necessary.

I HAVE BEEN READING IT AS DISK THE ENTIRE TIME AND I WAS SO CONFUSED WHEN PEOPLE WERE LAUGHING NOW IM DYING XD
But alrighty I will as soon as I can. We're a little low on income because we're building a house at the moment but I will probably by next weekend
Your basking temps are way too low. What are you using to take temps? I would also remove the red light and just turn the heat up in your house so that your house is at least 65 degrees, then you will have no need for any kind of nighttime heat, at least until you can get a ceramic heat emitter. All they need at night are temps of at least 65.
Red bulbs are completely useless for bearded dragons .
