I had to post this as it may be old hat to the more experienced owners but I did this all on my own. Whey hey!
She hasn't really been drinking and I read that they don't understand standing water. She has had a water bowl ever since she arrived but apart from standing in it that was it. I've bathed her a few times but she didn't drink.
Friend suggested spraying her and I made up a spray bottle with tap water and let it stand so as not to be too cold.
I was spraying her and I dropped a few drops on her nose. I had read this a few times here.
Anyway I a cidently hit her water bowl and she went over to it. She looked and then stArtd to drink. She really didn't mind the water spray but I didn't deliberately target her. She just egnores it and drank quite a bit.
Hey I've made a discovery all on my own.
She's certainly.liven up and I will try that again tomorrow.
Might help someone. It's worked for me.

Another way to make sure your beardie Is getting proper hydration is by misting your beardies veggies, and placing them out of direct light so evaporation is minimal
My beardie mostly drinks when I drop water on his nose. I have only seen him drink from a water dish twice, and ALOT!!. I give him soaked greens everyday.
With some dragons you need to be patient with it and continuously drip water off their nose for some time before they actually register what is going on and that they can drink it. It takes mine a little while to catch on sometimes but once she gets those first few licks she will know what is up right away and start drinking readily unless she just isn't thirsty at all.
Folks
Thanks for the replies.
Sandy is now drinking by using either water dropped on nose or as I have found just putting her crickets in her water tray.
She also drinks in her bath.
Things are looking up so thanks again.
