just wanted to run by you the information I received. it's ok to get sticks or branches or logs from outdoors as long as we clean them up and either put them in the oven at 300 for 15 mins or use bleach and water is this correct? We really don't want to pay like 20 something dollars for a stick at petco
you can do thatbut i heard yo have to stay away from certain trees i dont remmember exactly which ones..i think its was oak trees and some other ones not sure :|
I read up that you should avoid Pine and Cedar. I heard Oak was ok. Most of the wood around here in Seattle is either Douglas Fir, Red Cedar, or Pine. And to tell you the truth not too sure the difference between Douglas Fir and Pine, so I basically avoid all branches and driftwood and spend craploads online for Grape.
Maybe some of the other more senior bloggers can verify this, but as far as my research went, I'm staying away from anything Pine or Cedar.
