I'm sorry if this is in the wrong topic, I was unsure where to post it!
By guestimating with sizes (9 inches) and weight (37g) I was guessing that my beardie is around 3-4 months old.
I've been calling my beardie a girl but have absolutley no idea as I only got her a month ago from another unknowing beardie owner.
Any ideas? Thankyou
at 9 inches and 37gr, she is most likely between 2 and 3 months, at this age and size it is almost impossible to tell the sex of a beardie BUT if I had to make a guess I would say she is a female, but then again all beardies look like females untill they dont haha at around 6 months U should be able to see the hemipenisses IF he/she is a male, if at 6 months she still looks like this, she is most likely a female.
Only 2 - 3 months old?! But that can't be, she hasn't shed in the whole month I've had her !!
Uh - oh... mixed verdict haha. Seriously, what's going on with that shedding then? :?
I also think its a boy. I have a female just about the same size and it's clear she's female and doesn't look like yours at all. If you look on the sides of his (still not 100%, could be a her) tail you can see two small buldges instead on the one if it was female.
I'm about 90% it's male
And it's I'd say s/he is probably 4-5 months, mine is almost 7 months and weighs 95 grams but is small for her age, and when I got her at 3, almost 4 months she was 9" and about 45 grams.
I'll try to get a pic of my girls rear end so you can compare, but yours could go either way as it has female signs and male signs, but usually if it's a girl you won't see any sign of 2 buldges and a boy can still look like a female but have teeny tiny buldges when it's that young. I'm sticking with my gut and still saying boy
Heres my girl...not the best pic but you can kind of see the difference. She only has the one buldge where it looks like yours has two small ones above the larger one coming in, but i could be wrong. Do you see pores on the inside of his backlegs?
Dont mind her red butt, she loves raspberries so i put them on top of her salad sometimes and she decided it'd be better to lay in them before she ate them today

Looks female to me! Of course, as Yorben said, all dragons look female until they don't! One of mine looked female for a full 5-6 months until one day he was headbobbing at his roommate and I checked. Surprise!!
