I gave my 2 month old bearded dragon, sir Mushu a bath (I’ve done this Mutiple times since I’ve gotten him and he actually quite enjoys it). I was bathing him tonight and he appeared to “blow up” persay like a ballon in appearance and in texture... I took him out of the water and he literally was blown up like a balloon and he was not breathing. After about maybe 10-15 seconds of being out of the water he started breaking again, but very heavily. I put him back in his tank and he’s just been in the same spot since. It just didn’t seem ‘normal’ to me. I need help!!!!
Hi there, they do that sometimes but usually bounce right back How is he now ? Be sure not to leave him alone ever when soaking. Soaking is not a requirement to hydrate beardies, they can be sprayed gently or have water dripped on their mouth area for a drink. Hope your baby is O.K.

He was okay almost immediately after but he did it two different times and it was very freaky! I have never heard of them doing something like that. He literally reminded me of a balloon... from his looks to the way that he felt. I never leave him unattended while soaking him. He actually enjoys it! I only do it once every so often though. I have noticed that he seems to be bothered or maybe anxious the past couple days but other than that he’s good.
