Okay well after being bit 2 times and getting the intimidation signs from him I now realize (took me long enough LOL) he is unhappy. I want to try to remedy this. I have 2 ideas right now:
1) Get his enclosure off the floor
2) Put up a background to help make him more comfortable.
I think the first step is making them feel comfortable. This means that if he is in his hide, you shouldn't lift the hide up and pull him out. I recently just read that on another forum type website.
They also said that for uros, their relocation stress period can last anywhere to around 6 months! And during that time you shouldn't even touch them at all to let them settle.
Have you ever tried hand feeding Michael? Calcifer isn't the tamest lizard, but he will eat out of my hand. And if I hold the leaf above him he will go for it. Even just holding leaves outside of his hide, I can coax him out by pulling the leaves further and further away.
