I saw on weather.com that they had a scrolling live feed of comments of people commenting about the wind on the western US right now. So, I looked at what they did, and saw that Twitter makes it super easy to add a feed based on a search.
So, I quickly added a little "Bearded Dragon Chatter" feed on the home page. Check it out on the left side. I may eventually change it so that the home page one only shows when people tag #beardeddragonorg, perhaps. But for now, it's just "bearded dragon" being mentioned on Twitter. It's a small thing, but kinda fun, and was easy enough I could whip that up fast.
Will it work regardless of how the phrase is written? For example, if somebody did #beardeddragon or even #beardedragonorg or #tntbeardeddragonsllc, will it still come through? Or does it have to be "bearded dragon"?
I can adjust the query. Twitter's complex querying is ... well... complex. heh. Actually, it's just not consistent when I use their interfaces. In the code for the JScript on my web page, I specify the "search" parameter value. So, I'm guessing it can be as complex as their normal notation supports to include "OR" for multiple terms. For now, it's just a start. I may limit thing differently to use it for site promotion too.
