We have had our 6 year old beardie rescue for a year and half now. He has shead quite a few times as he has gained weight and better over all health since we got him.
He has had different patches shedding at the same time. However he is in a full body shed right now and just seems miserable. Not really moving, excessive sleeping and missing a day here or there of feeding.
Is this normal? And what do you guys do to make them more comfortable as I read this is normal and painful.
Sometimes they'll do a full body shed, even as adults. It's less common than when they're little but it happens. It is probably itchy and uncomfortable for them but I don't know if it's painful. Keeping the skin hydrated may be helpful. This can be done via baths and by offering water for him to drink (if he stays well hydrated, his skin should stay more hydrated.
